AWANA Club Wraps Up the Year With a Christmas Cantata
The AFCMFI AWANA Club ended the year with something special — a Christmas cantata performed by the children for their families and community. The event drew a crowd of parents, siblings, and neighbors who filled the hall to see the children perform songs, recite verses, and share what they had been learning throughout the year.
AWANA is a values-based club for children and youth that focuses on character formation, teamwork, and community. At AFCMFI, it runs as part of the Life Skills and Leadership pillar, meeting regularly with trained club leaders from Faith Fundamental Baptist Church.
More Than a Performance
The cantata was the children’s chance to show what they had worked on all year. But for many families in the audience, it was also the first time they had seen their child stand up and do something in front of a crowd. Confidence built quietly over months of club meetings showed itself in full that evening.
Moments like these are why we do what we do. A child who learns to stand up, speak clearly, and work as part of a team is building skills that will serve them for the rest of their life.
New Members Welcome
